It is a time of mists and music and mince pies. A time of goodwill and welcome. A time to show kindness to the stranger, to remember the young Jewish couple, homeless and pregnant, two thousand years ago.
Again I enjoyed the atmosphere in Shrewsbury Square when so many gathered to enjoy the carols, the music, the mulled wine and the friendship. The cold damp evening seemed not to dampen the spirits at all. There are so many good people out there, we have much to be thankful for, but let us not forget the message of Christmas. In this bitterly cold weather we put food out for the birds, let us not forget our fellow man.
A Happy Christmas to you all. May 2010 bring you all a better year.
